Description
This large animal field shelter is 7’3″ long x 9′ wide x 6′ high (2.2m x 2.73m x 1.83m). It makes an ideal shelter for small groups of goats, sheep, alpacas and miniature horses and ponies.
The plastic field shelter will keep your animals cool in the summer and warm in the winter:
- Protects them from wind, rain and flies
- Special opaque material keeps them cool even in direct sunlight
- Unique ventilation ridge allows air to circulate, providing low humidity and no draughts.
The thermo-formed polyethylene material is extremely strong and durable. It will not crack and can be power-washed regularly; many shelters are still in use after 25 years. A heavy timber base keeps the shelter rigid and weighted down.
Once assembled you can move the shelter using a telehandler or small tractor – as shown in this video.
We deliver the large animal shelter in separate panels, with the timber base, which you will need to assemble using the fixings and instructions included.

Group Calf Hutches
We recommend that calves are moved into Multimax group hutches after weaning in groups of 4 or 5 until they are 4 or 5 months old.
Farmers also use Multimax hutches successfully for groups of pre-weaned calves or a smaller number of older calves.
